To,
Shri Pranab Mukherjee
Shri Pranab Mukherjee
President
Of India,
New
Delhi Date
: 20th April,2014
Hon,ble sir,
SUB: REQUEST TO PROVIDE AMENITIES AT AMARNATH &
KEDARNATH TO FACILITATE THE PILGRAMAGE
HUSSLE FREE
With utmost respect , may
we venture to crave the attention of the first citizen of India i.e. our President towards the apathy, misery, torture and
agony of billions of Hindu devotes of “Shiva” are facing in ‘Free India’ at both
places-Amarnath in Srinagar and Kedarnath in Uttarakhand which are considered highest
seat of Lord Siva.
It is best of your
knowledge and belief that so many devotees have lost their precious lives
enroute to Holy Amarnath and Kedarnath due to inclement and rough weather.
Alas! That your government never waked up to undertake such measure which could
not only save lives of millions of pilgrimage but could facilitate their journey
which they undertake every year due to their eternal faith in Lord Shiva.
We are sorry to say that your
highness has served many agust offices of GOI but no concrete plan was chalked
out despite many calamities occurred at both ‘Shrine’. Even-“Hon,ble Supreme
Court on August 13,2012 had asked the Jammu and Kashmir Government to finish
construction of roads and widening of passage to the Amarnath shrine before
snowfall.
A Bench of Justices B S Chauhan and Swatanter Kumar passed the order after taking suo moto note of media reports of pilgrims' deaths allegedly due to lack of proper facilities and medical care for them” but situation remain the same at the part of government of J&K.
We are failed to understand
that it is well known that ‘religious tourism’ provide millions of jobs in both
the sates at the expense of pilgrims but both states are stoic to the grievances
of the pilgrims. Why? Are they don’t want to save lives of their citizens.
In
lieu of above, we request to highest honour of our president
that the government of both the states
i.e. J&K and Uttarakhand besides government of India be instructed to
provide all the
facilities which a human
being and citizen of India deserve from government in the 34 Km of the tedious route to Amarnath and 14 Km route to Kedarnath
be provided on top priority so that it looks to those personalities of India who
failed to provide then while they were in the jobs to provide but we expect
from our first citizen of India that he would take all measure which are in his
command so that in future no calamity could engulf the precious lives of your
citizens and personally visit at both places to take stock of the measure taken
by your government after your good office initiative.
May we suggest the
following steps if be taken by your all governments and your highness for
smooth journey of pilgrims as your good office is already well apprised of the
facts that “The civil society has a big role to facilitate various facilities
in make-shift tents to the Yatris for their safe journey at his own but that is
not enough.
1. It
is suggested that both the route to shrine be well roofed by GOI like ‘Viashnodevi
route’ to save their citizens from unpredictable weather and snowfall.
2. that
after a gap of half kilometer on en route-the concreate shelters along with benches should be provided on the route of both sides for the pilgrimage
journey to save themselves from the heavy rains and
snow falls.
3. that
the medical camps be provided en route
because so many people fell ill due to shortage of oxygen at both shrine,
4. that
the fresh drinking water facilities be provides so
as to discourage pilgrims for carrying polythene bottles.
5. that
the whole route be enlighted
by Solar System.
6. that
the route be provided by bath rooms on both sides of the way so
as to provide basic facilities which free India human demand from their
respective government to prevent the pilgrims to through fecal in open because
residents of J&J drinks water coming from the glacier en route.
7. that
the record of the accounts
& donations should be placed yearly on Web-site
of The Shrine Board for the
public after the completion of the YATRA.
8. that
the raw materials such as Vegetables, Gas Cylinders and Edible Oils etc. may be delivered to “LANGARS CIVIL ORGANIZATION” by the SHRINE or J&K Govt. at the reasonable rates.
9. that
the devotees should also
be nominated
as Members of the “Amar Nath Shrine Board
or Kedarnath Shrine Board” so that the members of the body should keep a
watch and make the suitable arrangements for the pilgrims.
10. Since
the government has wasted trillions of rupees in different scams so the journeys
be made free from any tax and charges because so far the Amarnath Shrine
Board is only
charging Rs. 10,000/- (Ten Thousand) from
every organization who are providing
LANGARS
at their owns, and Rs. 1000/- from every private tent owner and
shopkeeper on both routes in lieu of cleanliness, a huge amount is received
from the contractors for Car Parking every year and donations through DAAN
PATRAS placed in the premises of ‘the SHRINE’ but it observes that after the completion of YATRA the LANGAR places are not cleaned and the garbage can be
seen on the next journey too.
11. That
both the route should be sanitized by putting sophisticated waste management
system in place, and people must be fined to avoid use of polythene so that the
fauna and flora could be saved.
12. That
the pilgrims must be informed in route about the condition of the weather
through loud speakers
We
hope that you shall while realizing the genuine grievances of the pilgrims for
taking pilgrimage to both shrine take such measure which will make history while
you are in office.
Wishing
you all best.
Truly
yours
Rajinder
Vij
President
& All members & devotees
