PERMISSION TO OPEN FDI MULTI BRAND
DEPARTMENTAL STORES WILL NOT SUIT
INDIAN ECONOMY

POOR MAN OF INDIA
Congress government led by Manmohan Singh is misleading the nation that granting permission to  FDI (India Paves Way for Wal-Mart, Tesco to Enter Market) to open multi brand retail stores in 53 cities of India will benefit consumers and farmers without affecting the interest of well established small retailers.

It is not chewable because in the country where planning commission think of giving R.32/- to 44 crore of Indian to live happily than who will be benefitted looks ridiculous when only 20% population of the country is real customers and rest are at the mercy of tax payers' money.

Even UPA allies TMC and DMK, along with the SP and BSP, which have been lending outside support to the congress government, demanded that the decision should be revoked along with BJP and CPM. The Prime Minister has virtually rejected demands from the opposition to rollback the decision on FDI.

Government assertion is that huge investments in the Foreigners led retail sector will see gainful employment opportunities in agro-processing, sorting, marketing, logistics management and front-end retail is true but this will benefit the farmers and retailer will prove curse and bane.

WAL*MART WELLESTABLISHED STORE
Citing example of Relaince fresh who have been collecting apples at 4 to 5 rupees per kilogram  directly from Srinagar villages and Himachal Pardesh but are selling the same after putting them in cold storage at rate of Rs. 80 to 120 per kilogram. Customers are paying charges of cold storages @70/- per kilo to these stores. Who is being benefited whether farmers or corporators only our world renowned prime minster can better answer. Similar is the case is with Onion, potato etc

Coming  towards the eliminating the middle men(Aarti) between farmers and customers- prime minister  has not undertaken any home work for his accurate conclusion because firstly aarti are also citizens of India and they would also require than some another job for livelihood who will provide to them after elimination of their job.

Thirdly, prevailing system of procurement of agro -products is that farmers themselves bring their produces to mandi from where million of khosk holders or hawkers buy through aarti farmers produces for sale to customers which provide livelihood to millions of these poor and hand to mouth citizens. now, the question arises whether the government want to create more BPL customers to put more burden on the tax money who would render without any job.

Fourthly, how many force the multi brand foreign store will employee to procure the agro products from small farmers is also not feasible. This is also not true that these store will be able to sell the products at cheaper rates than retail shops after paying huge rent, salary to its employees and paying 30% more prices to farmers for their produces.

The decision is also big joke in the sense that it will not effect the business men who are running retail shops or corner shops.

To understand this  let us take one example-suppose, there are 10 lacs customers in any city, and Wal mart(List of Wal-Mart in the world) or any others FDI led multi brand opens the stores there- by virtue of this store suppose 200000 lacs middle class customers shift towards Wal-mart or else because new generation is not ready to go to small shops than already established retailers will be 20% effected by opening foreign store and if small traders are not effected as per government assertion than for what and for whom,  FDI multi brand stores are coming to India if they will not find any customers.

So far quality of product are concerned, so many times, health department in our city and in others cities have thrown out the rotten vegetable of Indian based leading stores- which are being sold to customers at the risk of citizens.

Why FICCI or else corporates bodies are welcoming decision of the government to allow FDI Multi Mega stores is only vested  with their greed and corporates' interest because they will get new customers of mega stores employee who will employee new freshers for their stores and least concern for those who are unable to make both ends meet and become unemployed due to repercussion of FDI retail stores.

You have been wasting your own  tax money in scam, subsidies, fraud and corruption since independence, failed to remove the problem of unemployment and poverty-sorry to say that why don,t these government feel shame that  after 64 years of independence, you are sill thinking to build the cold storage and godowns at the mercy of foreigners forgetting the history of East India Company who made Indians slave for 200 years for one mistake.
